ARTIST SHOWCASE | JOBY!
@jobyswurld

Over the last year or so, there’s been a renaissance in Hawaii music. So many new artists with different visions and styles. When I hear Joby!, I get taken back to a simpler time in my life. A time of driving around Kaneohe with my brothers, jamming reggae music in Keanu’s garage, and just living carefree.

His track “Finding My Way”, is a crazy blend of genres. Between the vocal harmonies and guitar solos, you find yourself humming along even if it’s your first time listening. I first heard Joby! thru my homie, 8ro8. They have a track together called “Breathe” that is literally a sunset in song form. It’s beautifully written and one of my favorites. And if you’re ever feeling a type of way, turn on “Your Loss” and cry it out. There’s pretty much a song for every mood and vibe. It really encapsulates the feeling of growing up & living in Hawaii.

I genuinely believe Joby! has it. Whatever it is. He got it.

ARTIST SHOWCASE | ARK WOODS
@arkwoodsofficial

When I think of growth as an artist & human being I think of Ark Woods.

I first met Ark when he was about 17 or 18 years old. I remember we had a show together and it was his first one. He asked me for some advice and I gave it to him. Something he always had was confidence.

He really made a splash on the scene with his album "Hell and HI Water 2". I think this was the point he finally locked in and found his voice and signature sound. Something clicked and WE ALL saw it. His single off of the album, “She Stole My Heart”, is just about to pass 7 million streams on Spotify alone. This blend of groove and lyrical prowess set him apart of anything we’ve ever had here in Hawaii. He was always destined to take his vision global.

Now signed to Acme Records, he has about 260,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Representing Hawaii and making sure he keeps his roots, he recently put out a song and video with fellow up and coming artist 8ro8 called “Runnin”.

Much to look forward to this year and beyond for Ark Woods. This is just the beginning.
